Turner Signed

Does the Houston Texans have a good shot at signing Michael Turner?
What do you think? Where do you think Michael Turner will end up?
thanks

* Michael Turner, RB – He’s hands down the best running back in free agency. After four years behind LaDainian Tomlinson, the 25-year-old Turner is ready to be a lead back. The Texans, Raiders and Bears could all use a back. In fact, Turner would love to play in his hometown Chicago, but it sounds like Lovie Smith is determined to stick with the underachieving Cedric Benson. Might be some bad karma in Oakland, where things haven ‘t exactly worked out for another former backup, LaMont Jordan.
Turner should have more tread on his tires left than most running backs his age. The Cowboys love him, but he doesn’t want to serve as Marion Barber’s backup.
—Looks like Bears, Raiders and Texans are the top 3 suiters….going to be interesting. If Texans can sign Turner, they can then use the #1 pick on a much needed CB.
Rumors about where he will go have been scarce.
It does not seem as though he is out selling himself and this is the time to do it.
It makes me wonder if he might really want to stay in San Diego. Which would be great for the Chargers and actually good for Mike too.
I mean, he would get starter money, but still be the backup.
Maybe he is OK with being a high paid backup and does not desire to have the pressure of being a high paid free agent starting running back….The highest bidder will expect him alone to come in and make the team win. Unrealistic expectations…and a lot of pressure on the player.
So while the Texans have a good shot, so do a lot of other teams…including San Diego.
My prediction earlier was that he would go to Denver…I will stick with that till the end. Only because I stick by my predictions, right or wrong.
But hopefully he stays at Qualcomm stadium.
Go Bolts!

Stargate SG-1 Season 1 Boxed Set $19.90 Hollywood’s film archives overflow with the carcasses of dismal movies based on lame ’60s and ’70s television shows, a syndrome that shows no sign of abating. But here’s evidence that the reverse effect, turning a movie into a TV series, can have surprisingly positive results. Indeed, based on the 21 episodes produced for the first season of Stargate SG-1, it could be argued that this show is sign… |

Freakonomics [Revised and Expanded]: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything $4.75 Economics is not widely considered to be one of the sexier sciences. The annual Nobel Prize winner in that field never receives as much publicity as his or her compatriots in peace, literature, or physics. But if such slights are based on the notion that economics is dull, or that economists are concerned only with finance itself, Steven D. Levitt will change some minds. In Freakonomics (written w… |
